permissions
Administrative Permissions
The administrative account configured in the awp-config.xml when installing needs to be given specific permissions for some of AWP's advanced features. The following list documents which permissions are required:
| Open Catalog - AWP Catalogs | ||

| Preview Cache | Open all configured catalogs to generate a preview cache entry. | |
| Open Catalog - $Users | ||
| Create Account | Open $Users catalog to speed-up the cleaning of expired accounts. This also requires that the $Users catalog is shared. | |
| Open Catalog - $Vocabularies | ||
| Manage Vocabularies | Required to determine the available Vocabularies. | |
| Create Item - $Vocabularies | ||
| Manage Vocabularies | Required to add new entries to an existing Vocabulary. | |
| Modify Item - $Vocabularies | ||
| Manage Vocabularies | Required to rename an existing Vocabulary entry. | |
| View Items - AWP Catalogs | ||
| Preview Cache | Open all configured catalogs to generate a preview cache entry. | |
| Download Collections | Enable View Item for Video Manager sub-table to play video streams for Download Collections. | |
| Create Items - AWP Catalogs | ||
| Upload Collections | Catalog uploaded assets when employing non-personalized Upload Collections. | |
| Download Asset - AWP Catalogs | ||
| Download Collections | Make Downloads possible for Download Collections. | |
| Transfer Asset - AWP Catalogs | ||
| Upload Collections | Access Vault for cataloging. | |
| Download Original - AWP Catalogs | ||
| Video Manager | Access Vault to deliver original data stream of MP4 files. | |
| Modify Catalog Settings - AWP Catalogs | ||
| Metadata Editor | Required to add new String List values or rename existing values. | |
| Global User Administrator | ||
| Create Account | Create new user accounts. | |
| Modify Account | Change account data of existing users. | |
| Reset Password | Set new password for a user. | |
| Metadata Editor | Analyze user permissions. | |
| Order System | Get available fields for user details. | |
| Browse for Users | ||
| Create Account | Check whether entered user name already exists. | |
| Upload Collection | Find user email address after new asset has been cataloged. | |
| Run As User | ||
| Guest Session | Log-in as the configured guest user. | |
| Download Collection | Run as personalized recipient to track record usage. | |
| Access Asset Handling Sets | ||
| Favicon | Use admin user's Asset Handling Set to generate the favicons. | |
| Create Download Collection Create Shared Collection |

| Order System | Create Download collection for new order. Note: If Create Download Collection permission is not available in your Cumulus installation, enable the Create Shared Collection permission |

| Download Collection | Save Last Login Date for recipient of a personalized Download collection. | |
