Filter Type: Query

Filter Options
Filter NameCan be whatever you want it to be. When opening the name editor dialog one can also configure a description which is then available to users by hovering a little question mark icon which is displayed next to the filter name.
Filter TypeThis cannot be changed once you have decided, that this is a filter that uses a query. You will have to remove it and add a new filter to replace it.
Filter activeWhen active, it is visible on your AWP. If you uncheck this box, it will hide the filter, but not delete it.
Filter initially collapsedBy default this is unchecked. That means the filter will be expanded like this:
Restrict filter toEnable this option to show the filter only to the listed users or members of the listed roles.
Query TableHere you have a list of queries available in this filter. To add a new query press “Add…”.
In this example we want it to be easy to filter by “New buildings”.

Type in the name of your query (can be anything). In this example we want the query “New Library”.

If you are experienced with queries, you can manually build up your query here. Else we recommend to use the advanced Cumulus search in the Native Client.

Select the “Advanced Mode” and make sure it is cleared from previous query searches:

Then go to the “Simple Mode” and build up your search:

Once you are done with that, then go back to the “Advanced Mode”. Now you will have the query for the search that you built up in the “Simple Mode”. Copy the query from here.

Now go back to the AWP configuration in the server console and back to adding your filter query.
Paste in your query and press “Ok”.
CombineWhen selecting multiple entries from this filter the according queries have to be combined. Choose whether the filter should be “Combine: AND” or “Combine: OR” which means whether the search result should contain records where all selected queries are matched (AND) or only one of selected queries (OR).

A special case is the XOR mode which allows only one query being active at a time. The first query is also auto-selected initially. To visualize this slightly different behavior, the controls change from a checkbox to radiobuttons.

Copy Reference
This copies a URL to the clipboard which can be used for Welcome Page - Highlight Categories feature to pre-select the according query when loading the application.
