AWP

The welcome page can show boxes with an image in the background and some text in the foreground.

Add the required fields to the catalog by enabling the Category Header checkbox for the catalogs which contain the highlight categories. Add the following fields to a Category View Set to be able to edit the data: Thumbnail, AWP Info Header, AWP Info Link, AWP Info Order, AWP Short Info Text.

Define the query which specifies the categories to use for Highlight Categories.

Paste the image into the Thumbnail field that should be shown in the background of the box.

Edit the AWP Info Header for the header line within the box and the AWP Short Info Text field for the text below the header which is shown when the user hovers the box with a mouse.

The field AWP Info Link can be used for two different features: if it contains a http-URL, clicking the box will open a new window pointing to that URL. It can also contain a URL pointing to at least one of the configured query filters which on clicking the box starts the application and pre-selects the referenced query filters. This kind of URL can be generated from the query filter configuration by clicking the “Copy Reference” button. To select multiple queries simply append their URL to each other.

In the remaining case that the field AWP Info Link has no value, clicking the box will start the application and pre-selects the highlight category providing the box information. This requires that the highlight category is below the configured Root Category of the catalog.

If you want to define a static order of the highlight boxes, you can enter arbitrary numbers into the AWP Info Order field which is then used for sorting the boxes accordingly.

To support multiple languages with highlight boxes, configure additional languages for the AWP Info Header and AWP Short Info Text fields. AWP will check whether text is available for the current language. If no language-specific content is available, AWP will display the content for the base language.
