Pattern Format

In different places a text can be generated from a pattern which incorporates field values of an item.

Format Description

The supported placeholders in the pattern are:

{fid:field_identifier:options}			Field Value Reference
fid:			Prefix indicating a field value reference
field_identifier			Name of the field
options			Optional configuration for rendering of specified field
	Date Fields
		Pattern	Custom pattern to render a date value	{fid:date:yyyy-MM-dd_HH-mm-ss} 2025-01-31_21-41-29
	File Fields
		basename	Basename of the source asset	{fid:asset:basename} test.jpg → test
		extension	Extension of the source asset	{fid:asset:extension} test.jpg → jpg
		none	Asset name of the source asset	{fid:asset} test.jpg → test.jpg
	Nested Tables
		Separator	Entire options value is used to separate the display string of multiple entries from the nested table	{fid:categories:-} category1-category2-category3
	String fields
		Locale	Use specified locale instead of the current session locale for a l10n String field	{fid:stringfield:de-DE}
	Tag Groups
		Separator	Entire options value is used to separate the display string of multiple tags from the tag group	{fid:tag_group:_-_} tag1_-_tag2_-_tag3
{extension}			Extension of the produced asset rendition
	Only available in the context of an asset production

Example pattern

The pattern img_{fid:categories}_{fid:textfield:de-DE}_#{fid:_system_object_id}_{fid:date:yyyy-MM-dd}.{extension} is producing something like img_category1_ich bin text_#1234_2025-10-21.jpg
