==== License Updater ==== The **License Updater** scheduler job refreshes the installed license from Attention's central license server. On each run it asks the license server for the license that is currently issued for this installation and, if a new one is available, writes it into the server's license settings. Use this job to keep an installation licensed automatically — for example after the existing license has been extended or replaced centrally — without having to apply the new license file by hand. Open its configuration via the //Scheduler// admin module and pick **License Updater** as the job type. The job has no settings of its own. Once added to the scheduler, the only thing to configure is when it should run (the standard scheduler schedule). It identifies this Fylr installation to the license server by the server's //external URL//. === What the job does when it runs === Every time the scheduler triggers the job it: - Asks Attention's license server for the license issued to this installation, identified by the server's external URL. - Writes the returned license into the server's license settings, but saves it only when it validates as licensed — an empty or invalid answer leaves the existing license untouched. - Lists the licensed products in the run notification. - Reports a warning and leaves the license as it is when the license server cannot be reached, so a network outage never removes a working license.
